Everything's In Flickr Pro… Almost

I received a Flickr Pro account as the prize for winning scalpod’s Double Secret Ambigram contest with my entry, Ateneo.

This entry happens to be the 2008th ambigram of the Flickr group of ambigram artists.

I used to have a second free Flickr account for my ambigrams. The first one is for my photos. And now that I have an unlimited space for both, I decided to upload my ambigrams and my photos to this Flickr gift of pro.

I’m hesitant first to upload my photos since it was only a gift given because of ambigrams and not awarded for my photos besides the fact that I’m already uploaded gigs of photos to my first account. But since all of the ambigram artists who are also Flickr pro have their “everything else” sets and collections, I followed the bandwagon. I think that’s just maximizing the resources.

And to avoid redundancy, I opt to upload only enhanced images of my very best and memorable photos. So this is my convention – Every photos taken will be uploaded to Multiply. Good and enhanced (crop operation) pictures go to Flickr Pro.

And yes, I’m busy uploading photos. I have 41 albums as of writing. As of now, out of 20 albums, I’ve uploaded 10 of them so far.

As for my ambigrams, Flickr is the best policy in terms of publicizing my artworks. The number of views in Flickr sets is greater than tokikot.jonas.ph since search engines point to Flickr site first.

Everything that I need is on Flickr Pro – stats like most viewed, most liked, sort features by year and by category, tags, comments and replace operation. Yet, I miss the blackness. Still the latter is only a want.

Ethan Kaiser is one-month old and first child of our Shububu friends, Jason and Larisse. Ethan Kaiser reminds me of the Heroes series. Maybe because it rhymes with the protagonist Nathan and antagonist-till-the-end-I-suppose Sylar.

Next week, he’ll be baptized and I will be one of his godfathers.

Ethan Kaiser is an attempt to use Blackletter. My apologies on the letter H because it is really hard to tweak the letter if the letter itself is an ambigram.

Yet another Blackletter-themed ambigram. With the exception of the extremities M and S, the ambigram is pretty free from ambiguity. Unless S is stretched as two poles, contrary to the usual single stroke, the ambigram-by-itself letter S would still appear when rotated.

Marc Truyers is my front office (as I am the back office if you haven’t figured it out) or my counterpart (in layman’s term) during my technical supporting role in Procter & Gamble’s SAP system in Greece. He has given me what I consider as the sweetest remark I received in my entire stay at HP – I am his living e-Award. Naks!

When Ms. Eleanor approached me and requested her own ambigram after Ace flaunted his ambigrams (Ace, Alan Carlo, Alan Carlo / Kristine, Embuscado) to his personal trainees, the very same night, I was able to scribble Ms. Eleanor’s name into an ambigram. The letters of her name are common with other ambigrams so it’s a piece of cake to have this piece of art.

After connecting my neural networks creatively, I was able to secure this ring ambigram. The third of this “ring ambigram of couples” series is an ambigram for my computer science professors, Dr. Cedric and Dr. Susan Festin who prove computer networks and computer security go well together.

And because I am a computer science major, sometimes I think of programming a smart ambigram generator. But that’s cloning my creative mind. Beating myself. Lolz.

Finally! I was able to construct an overdue ambigram for my friend, former UP classmate and HP colleague, Pao and for her girlfriend, Dianne.

I guess it’s worth a wait, Pao! Your ring ambigram is beautiful (as always… harhar). It ended up one of my favorites too.

Of all ring ambigrams that I’ve created, this becomes my favorite. For one, it is a small gift to my good friends, Alan Carlo and Kristine. Ring ambigrams are perfect for couples. It symbolizes infinity. It symbolizes serendipity.

And like this ambigram, we hope that their marriage and friendship last forever.

Read it clockwise or counterclockwise, you’ll get the same couple. Aren’t they meant for each other?

This coming Friday marks my third month of, ahem, drum rolls please, weight and muscle gaining. As a celebration, (ngorkz), of good results and friendship too, here’s an ambigram for the club that starts my day right – Fitness First. They are true to the fact that ‘Platinum’ is more precious than ‘Gold’.

My picture above is history. I’ll post a thicker Jonas once I find enough time to tweak my site.

As with the ambigram itself, it’s fun to end up with a resemblance of letter ‘F’ of the original Fitness First logo.
