Performance

1. uninstall the program and reinstall. you may also try downloading the install again.
2. unblock the program if operating system notifies you about firewall
3. install the required software such as .Net, latest Adobe Flash Player, Windows Media Player 9 or higher and Internet Explorer 6 or higher. you can download all of these software from the site
4. check the task manager if there’s a running PLDT Watchpad process. it may take a while before the player is launched

some launching events provide free username to experience watchpad.
so is the availability of watchpad and quality of streaming dependent on your mydsl plan?

things will differ a bit if you are subscribed to Plan 1299 or up. High Quality videos mean better resolution i.e. 1024px wide.
watchpad is available in all myDSL plans.
For plans lower than 1299, you can still have the streamed videos in a resolution like that of usual Youtube and Facebook videos, it’s still enjoyable though.
In terms of how the video is being streamed, it now depends on you plan since the speed of the connection differs per plan

i cant download their player. whats wrong with the installer? file cannot be installed.

on the first place, bloom cant even install the watchpad application. why would you suggest to uninstall the application when it is not installed yet? lol
im also having the same problem. cant download the “manifest” thing. according to the error log.

can’t launch the player != can’t install the player.

guys please make sure you have all of the requirements e.g. .Net framework , latest Adobe Flash Player, Windows Media Player 9 or higher and Internet Explorer 6 or higher.

From Vista, I’m now on Windows 7 and is able to run Watchpad also. The program used to crash just before the application interface was loaded.
The solution is to re-install (including the Adobe Flash Player) via Internet Explorer 8. Even you have installed Flash Player in other browser like Google Chrome, you need to install the Adobe Flash Player in IE8.
.NET Framework and IE8 are already part of the operating system.

Watchpad does not support Vista x64 bit application.

i get it. i’m stuck of trying to install the watchpad player in other browser coz i’m using bitcommet browser in my laptop thats why it didn’t work.

@kokorans i guess if you opt not to update, you may not meet the minimum requirements of Watchpad. though i’m not sure kung nasa update siya.
@bartholomew on their site, firefox is supported. the obvious use of IE8 is installation. IE8 is also used in MyLinks section of Watchpad where you can access social networking sites via embedded browser.

Its exactly 9:00am here in makati, and i didnt buy any tickets for the pacquiao cotto fight, expecting i will be able to watch the fight live in watchpad as advertised by pldt, unfortunately, i cant seem to log on to my account, when i put in my username and password, it states, unable to verify account? does this mean i wont be able to log in for the rest of the fight?
i have celeron 1.3 IE6 but it seems that the .application file is not recognized by the PC. help please! do yu guys have a tech support team?

The same thing happen to me. But I managed to get in after some tries. It seems the server is busy and overloaded. This should be noted by PLDT

Use IE8 to install.
admin.. i have download an exe file in the site.. but i don’t know how to install it.. its size is 8.6kb only, i can’t seem to sign up for pldt watch pad..or worse even watch.. what shall i do????

sign up is on their website. you will receive a confirmation that your account is verified. this account together with your password will be used in your login when the player is setup
that 8.6 kb installer should be downloaded from IE8. try to download it again. and double click it. IE8 will use this description file (8.6kb installer) to download the actual installer.

cannot install the player, kasi na wrong associate ko yung file. hindi ko 2loy mainstall. pdwe po ba na ang extension name ng installer ay palitan ng .exe instead ng .application

Can’t watchpad be installed in a computer which is Windows vista with 64-bit operating system? This is what the call center representative told me when i asked for an assistance on how to install the watchpad.
