I voted to take journey to Enchanted Kingdom. It was my first time since it was built a decade ago. Imagine my excitement similar to what you had before when you were a kid probably on a school field trip defending EK as a science fair. Pendulum on Anchors Away, centripetal force on the (still closed) Condor, impact and collision on Dodgem and gravity on Jungle Log Jam – yeah EK is a place where science and magic blended.
I should be at EK some weeks earlier with May. Yes, it’s a date. But it rained that week so I postponed that trip. Last Monday, when barangay elections fell in, was be a good time, no work (except for duty managers of course) and all play! It’s supposedly Kido-Kat, Jeff-Dans, Jonas-May, JP-Hannah and Jason-Larisse (talagang mayroong pairing) on a shuttle service but the last pair declined and all girls backed out. Well, the gimik should push through since the three also sacrificed time and effort. Kido had traveled from Batangas to Makati to Laguna. JP would have a complicated time to mingle with HP berks that he’s now on Deutsche. Jeff swapped his DM slot to Jannie for a QMR build. Tuloy ang ligaya! The P&G poker night boys will now have their fun on day time. (We invited Myk but he confessed he wouldn’t enjoy the rides. He’s on Puerto Galera however – as a disclaimer.)
Instead of riding a shuttle bus and pay 400 bucks round trip, we chipped in 125 pesos each. It’s definitely a joyride! Kuwentuhan to the max. Walang disturb-o. The weather is unpredictable. It was raining until early morning in Bulacan was overcast on Laguna. I crossed my fingers. And few meters away to EK, we dined in to Walter Mart’s Greenwich to eat lunch. They say the price in EK is sky-rocketing, er space-shuttling high.
Weeh! At last, my first step on the magical grounds! There were few people when we arrived usually students in pair (innocently) holding the hands of their partner. Disclaimer – hindi nainggit! We had our way first to Anchors Away. Since we are scientific knowledgeable, we ensured our seat on the edge. The three wanted a sort of initiation for a newbie like me so they chose this ride. Ang hindi nila alam, batang perya yata ako. Sisiw ang octopus! It’s to nice to laugh on scared people and to shout at the same time. As JP remarked, “ang sarap ng feeling ng natatakot ka!”.

Starting point of the circumference
Wheel of Fate – We ditched on the safety belt since gondola remains open in the air. Rialto – Computer graphics is good but nothing compared to 4D which is an I-Max worth 40 bucks. Sulit! Especially on the crabs, bees and spider. We headed to Space Port’s foodcourt, ate ice cream and shoot basketballs before landing to Space Shuttle – the ultimate trip.

At the Dodgem pit stop – photo stop.
Other rides we enjoyed: Roller Skates – yung cap po pakitanggal. Jeff, pasaway! Dodgem – kulang na lang ilabas na laruin sa Go Karting. Flying fiesta – loss of momentum means dizziness. Space Shuttle again. Anchors Away part 2. Jungle Log Jam – Wet! Wet! Wet! My jacket saved my upper garments but not my shorts.
And I thought I would miss Rio Grande Rapids because it was announced closed earlier. I met Dalin, college friend, who was with her… brother. The blockbuster ride took us more than an hour in the queue after it had a technical difficulty – no water.

The Trio After Rio. Gumastos talaga para mabasa.
If I own the car and the expressway, we would not go seven in the evening. My battery also drained so it was time to go. Eight hours for a first timer is better than those field trips when you don’t have the time and money.
And to complete the outing, we dined in to Mister Kabab – chelokebab and oxbrain!
