I used to not give a damn thing with SEO before. But now I realize, after visitor logs analysis, that Yahoo! Searchers outnumber my invited guests. Then with that, there’s a need for me to optimize my website for search engine to make way for a better traffic and larger audience.

I read several SEO and traffic-attraction tips and will be observed in the next release of j o n a s . p h this April. Publicity campaign though will still be present so expect shameless plugs again.

Here are some of the common search results directing to one of my pages in no particular order:

1. Ratings. Ever since the heated network wars began showing their ratings ad, internet users are now curious of the ratings of their favorite shows against the nearest competitor. Keywords: ratings, ABS-CBN vs GMA, ratings of Princess Hours, Telebabad ratings

2. Jacob’s Naghihintay Lyrics is the most searched lyrics in my website. However, I don’t have it on my site because I know other sites ala ’song hits’ that publish lyrics. But fans of Jacob should not be disappointed when they can’t cut and paste the lyrics from my site. I have interesting facts about the singer-composer that I bet you do not know. 3. More lyrics. After I posted Pinoy Music Stream, other search results diverts to me. Funny thing is that every time I check the logs I am surprised to what I see. Keywords: Victor wood lyrics, aray lyrics, mae rivera, diwata vs. mae rivera

4. Kim Chiu or Kim Chui. No matter how you spell it. The most searched celebrity now is the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Big Winner. Right after Sana Maulit Muli launches its Official Sountrack, fanatics start searching for the lyrics of Mine by Kim. Even before the album, several web surfers are looking for the biography of Kim Chiu. Keywords: biography of Kim Chiu, lyrics mine by kim chiu, kim chiu

5. If there’s Kim Chiu, there’s Gerald Anderson. I mentioned him twice I think and this made him searchable in my site. Just like Mine of Kim, when Gerald launches his another dance album, I gain some hits from the surfers. Keywords: Gerald Anderson album, Gerarld Anderson vs Mark Herras

6. Free OPM mp3s. I am seeing my self to the surfers who desperately looking for free OPM mp3s so for them not to take a year to look for their treasure, I provided Free Napsters post. Keywords: free opm mp3s

7. And the most searched keyword in my site is Fastfood Delivery. Here’s a cool incident. My kabarkada is looking for Chowking’s delivery hotline. To his surprise, he saw my website among the top results within Philippine sites. What’s more comical here, I think web surfers are pretty disappointed when they found that even though I mentioned several times the keywords delivery and their favorite fastfood chain, I never wrote their numbers. OK for the benefit of the others and the fastfood chains, here are the numbers:

I tried some of the keywords in Google and Yahoo! and found it kinda cool. If only I have the full time on blogging, then refurbishing j o n a s . p h could reach the top spot of search results.
